Grace and Law

“Being under the law and under grace are opposites there; the less grace exercises lordship over the soul, the more sin domineers and gets the upper hand of it, and the more it is under the law.  The greater freedom from the law as a covenant, the more grace is used towards freedom from the dominion of sin”.

– Samuel Petto, from his “The Great Mystery of the Covenant of Grace”, P.163
